Have you ever looked at your to-do list and wondered why the one task you most need to complete is the very one you keep avoiding?
Perhaps it is an important business project. Perhaps you’ve been meaning to create a retirement plan, or finally put together a “When I Pass” folder that would make life so much easier for your loved ones when that day eventually comes. Maybe it is writing a letter you’ve been putting off, making definite plans to spend time with friends, improving your health, organizing your finances, asking for the promotion you deserve, or taking the first real step toward a business you’ve dreamed of creating.
You know it needs to be done. You know how much better you’ll feel once it is finished. Yet somehow another day passes… and it still isn’t done.
It is easy to conclude that the problem is laziness, poor time management, or a lack of discipline. In many instances, however, success isn’t being blocked by a lack of ability. It is being blocked by subconscious resistance.
The Invisible Tug-of-War
One of the most important lessons I have learned over the years is that our conscious and subconscious minds don’t always want the same things.
Your conscious mind sets the goal, while your subconscious quietly decides that other things are a higher priority—including, at times, proving you were right not to believe in yourself.
If those two parts of your mind are working together, taking action feels surprisingly easy. But if your subconscious is holding beliefs such as “I always fail,” “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t deserve success,” or even “I’ll probably give up anyway,” then every step forward feels far more difficult than it should.
That internal conflict is exhausting. It drains motivation, fuels procrastination, and often convinces us that we simply lack willpower. The problem isn’t that you don’t know what to do. The problem is that your subconscious keeps convincing you that something else is more important.
Why Smart People Procrastinate
I find it fascinating that some of the brightest, most capable people are also among the greatest procrastinators. It isn’t because they lack intelligence. Intelligence doesn’t automatically overcome subconscious programming.
You can know exactly what you should do and still struggle to do it. You can understand how to build a successful business and still delay making the important phone call. You can know how to improve your health and still reach for the foods you were trying to avoid. You can genuinely want to become a better parent, strengthen your relationships, organize your finances, write your book, or complete an important project at work—and still find yourself doing everything except the one thing that would move you closer to your goal.
Knowledge isn’t the missing ingredient. Supportive subconscious beliefs are.
Why We Keep Repeating the Same Patterns
One of the fascinating things researchers have learned is that our brains are constantly looking for small rewards. Every interesting social media post, every notification, and every new email provides a tiny burst of dopamine that encourages us to keep looking for the next one. It’s one of the reasons scrolling can become so difficult to stop.
But there is another trap that many of us never recognize.
If you’ve spent years believing, “I never finish what I start,” then every time you abandon an important goal, your subconscious quietly says, “See… I knew that would happen.” As strange as it sounds, there can be a certain satisfaction in proving ourselves right—even when that belief is holding us back. The subconscious naturally prefers what is familiar. That is why simply trying harder doesn’t always work. If your subconscious keeps pulling you back toward old patterns, sooner or later those patterns usually win.
Change the Thinking That Creates the Problem
This is exactly why the Resolution Solutions album was created. Not because people don’t know what they want. Not because they lack dreams or ambition. This collection was created because so many people need help changing the subconscious beliefs that quietly block their own progress.
Rather than relying on willpower alone, Resolution Solutions works from multiple directions to remove many of the hidden obstacles that sabotage success. It helps strengthen confidence, end procrastination, reduce self-destructive thinking, improve impulse control, maintain enthusiasm, build a positive mental attitude, clarify your goals, strengthen your intentions, and activate your creativity. Together, these nine complementary programs help replace beliefs that hold you back with beliefs that support action, perseverance, and achievement.
Whether your goal is to build your business, advance your career, improve your finances, lose weight, become a more patient parent, strengthen your relationships, or simply become the person you know you are capable of being, lasting change begins with the conversation taking place inside your own mind.
Our patented InnerTalk technology has been demonstrated effective at priming self-talk. Because your self-talk reflects your subconscious beliefs, changing that internal dialogue changes the beliefs that guide your everyday decisions. And when your daily decisions begin to change, your life naturally starts moving in a different direction.

“I have the Ending Procrastination, and the Prosperity CDs. At first, I didn’t think they were working for me. However, over about a few months, several people mentioned to me that they had seen a change in me. I hadn’t told them I had been playing these CDs. Doing a little introspection myself, I noticed that I don’t put things off any more. It gives me a good feeling in getting things done.”
