Letter from Ravinder Taylor
Dear Friend,
What does self-improvement mean to you? Is there just one issue that you wish to correct in your life and everything else is perfect, or do you have a series of issues that you are working on? Or do they escalate, one step to the next?
I first met Eldon almost 25 years ago when he was teaching in the U.K. at the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy where I was a student. At that time, the workings of the mind fascinated me and I saw my training as being a valuable tool to help clients with specific issues. Eldon and I of course hit it off very well right from the very start but I was really surprised when, after returning to the U.S., he sent me a copy of his InnerTalk program, Soaring Self Esteem. I did not feel that I had an esteem issue—in fact, I was very proud of the fact that I was very accepting about who I was. Having been told my entire childhood that I was ugly (actually skinny, goofy, boney, etc), I thought I was doing a pretty good job at accepting my limitations and making the best of what I had. I definitely did not think I had an esteem issue.
However, I had just met Eldon and found him to be an amazing teacher and fascinating person, so I played the InnerTalk program all evening and had my first abreaction! I became irritable, cranky and totally on edge, and as a result, I had my first argument with Eldon when he called late that evening. I was very vocal with him about how bad the music was on this audio program—how it wasn’t music, it was just noise! It was not long after that, when I was visiting Eldon in the U.S., that I heard this very same music on a different InnerTalk program, and absolutely loved it. I also found that, when I went back to playing the Soaring Self Esteem program he had sent to me, that I no longer objected to the music. Eldon then explained to me that, while abreactions are very rare, sometimes the subconscious mind needs a little time before it can accept the new way of thinking.
My Personal Library
Over the last 25 years I have used a large number of InnerTalk programs including; Quantum Younging, Strategic Planning and Peak Performance, Freedom from Fears, I am a Communicator, Accelerated Healing, Optimism Plus, Opening Up to a Higher Power, Running, Freedom from Allergies, Up from Depression (or as I call it, Being Cheerful), End Self-Destructive Patterns, Manifesting Your Vision, Sleep Soundly, Healing from Invalidation, Freedom from Stress, and more. Some programs I play for a short period and never go back to, others I pull out whenever I need it.
As you can see, I am a total believer in the InnerTalk technology for making the changes I want from the inside out, and have my own personal library loaded onto my i-phone so I can play the program I want, whenever I want it 🙂 However, even though we have experienced the power of InnerTalk in our own lives so many times, both Eldon and I can still forget to turn to InnerTalk when a new issue arises. When our youngest son started school (after being home-schooled for the first 3 years), he started experiencing some issues. Research quickly identified that he was experiencing the not very well known issue of School Phobia. We followed the advice of lots of experts but were not overly successful in assisting our son. Eventually we thought about creating a custom InnerTalk program called School Phobia. The program was so successful that we now make it generally available.
How High Is Up?
The question Eldon and I had to ask ourselves was, “Why, when we know first hand the power of InnerTalk, do we sometimes forget to turn to this technology when new issues arise?” Hence, the subject line for this letter—Is self-improvement a destination or a journey for you? We have many customers who purchase InnerTalk programs on a regular basis—maybe ordering 5 programs every few months, or ordering just one new program every payday. For them, self-improvement is a journey, and like myself, they continue to enhance their lives reaching forever higher. Are you ready to join their ranks and start the journey to discovering the meaning of ‘How high is up?’ What area of your life could you work on today to improve your life experience?
Wishing you Love, Light and Laughter, always!
