Everyone wants to be lucky! You can join the ranks of the lucky ones but there are some requisites for doing so. If you’d like to be one of the lucky ones, then here’s a proven path.
When I was a young boy luck was defined for me as preparedness meeting opportunity. I have never forgotten that definition and over the years I have seen it repeatedly born out with few exceptions. One might argue that you would be very lucky to be born in a family of billionaires and I suppose that’s arguably true, but assume you are like most, luck becomes something we all desire so how do we gain it?
“I’m a greater believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it”
— Thomas Jefferson
Good luck seems to be a force that operates in the universe and shapes the destiny of many. Have you ever felt left out when it comes to good luck? Have you ever felt that only bad luck visits your doorstep? Are you thinking that I’m about to suggest that luck is matter of hard work, 60 even 80 hours a week or something? Well I’m not. You are about to learn of two basic principles that will change your life, so don’t quit just before the miracle but always remember, sometimes so-called bad luck is actually good luck, so please read on.
“Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.”
— Dalai Lama XIV
Recognizing luck is something many of us fail to do. As such, we are unable to capitalize on it, or for that matter, simply appreciate it. Recognizing good luck can be as important as the luck itself. The principles you are about to learn will assist you not only in promoting good luck, but in recognizing it.
Prerequisites for Good Luck
There are two prerequisites that lead to luck. I have been told that I was so lucky that it was as if I had rabbit’s feet behind both ears. This is why others might say something like this. First, I mentally rehearse and practice the success I seek. I know that I must not only expect success, but I must truly believe at every level of my being that I deserve success! I close every radio show with this statement, “Believing in yourself always matters!” This same statement has accompanied our company logo for more than 30 years now. So the first prerequisite is belief. You must believe that you can achieve your ambition and further that you deserve it. This absolutely requires consciously conditioning your mind, choosing your own self-talk, and eliminating the self-doubt or self-sabotaging ANTs (automatic negative thoughts) from your stream of consciousness.
The second prerequisite is preparedness. What is it that is your goal or ambition? Are you prepared to succeed? Now I’m obviously not talking about winning the lottery, albeit more than one of our customers has done exactly that using our InnerTalk programs, but rather addressing the foundation that underpins your version of success. For example, perhaps you would like to be lucky in love. Are you ready to accept a genuine loving relationship, to cultivate it, to enjoy it, to share, trust and so forth—all of those essentials that under-gird the best of relationships?
“Shallow men believe in luck or in circumstance. Strong men believe in cause and effect.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
Perhaps you wish more monetary success. You would like to be lucky by way of promotions, raises, and the like in your career. Are you doing everything that you can to enhance your luck? Are you prepared for advancement because you have gone the extra mile learning your business and applying its best practices? Or perhaps you wish to be lucky in the theater arts. Again, have you done everything you can do enhance your talents and abilities?
Prepare to be Lucky
I will repeat myself—the harder you work the luckier you are. Good luck sometimes just arrives without any effort but even with winning the big lotteries, what the data shows us is that almost everyone who wins the lottery considers it bad luck five years later. Not only have they lost everything they won, but they have lost friends and alienated relatives. The money is gone as is so much more!
If you’re prepared, winning the lottery can be great, but you will also need to know who can help you plan the use of the money and how to maintain good relationships while you do so. You will have to be anchored well in true self-confidence or you’re likely to let the money go to your head and a false ego will lead you astray.
The Lucky Mindset
You deserve luck in everything you do. Expect it—prepare for it—and luck will accompany you throughout your days. Do you want this?
“I wandered everywhere, through cities and countries wide.
And everywhere I went, the world was on my side.”
— Roman Payne

“I have had amazing success with the Prosperity program. On the days that I listen to it on my way to work, my stock portfolios go up in value. Sounds crazy, I know, but this happens predictably and consistently At first, I dismissed this as dumb luck, but after months and months this phenomenon continues like clockwork virtually every time I listen to it.”
